Career Opportunity: RICS Residential Building Surveyor



Allcott Associates is growing! We are looking for a talented, experienced Berkshire- or Hampshire-based RICS residential building surveyor looking for a new challenge with our multi-disciplined team of residential and commercial building surveyors and structural engineers.


The role

The role will involve conducting Full Building Surveys (RICS Level 3) and HomeBuyer Surveys (RICS Level 2) in the Reading, Basingstoke and Wokingham region. The role is home-based and the survey patch will be tailored to the candidate’s home location. The position comes with the support of our experienced nationwide team, who provide help and guidance on all aspects of surveying and structural engineering. We work on a wide variety of residential properties, and we offer the option to get involved with commercial work if that is something you are interested in.

The person

The candidate will be a Berkshire- or Hampshire-based RICS chartered surveyor with existing residential survey experience. They need to have excellent attention to detail and be confident in delivering the highest standards of work independently.


You will have experience of:

  • a wide variety of property issues and defects
  • producing comprehensive, insightful survey reports
  • providing clear, concise and evidenced technical advice
  • working independently and within a team structure
  • working with clients, in person (when COVID allows!), over the phone and via email.


A full UK driving licence is required.
