With 14 offices spread across the country, it’s important to take any chance we get to arrange a team meet-up. As well as one-to-one catch ups, over the past couple of years we’ve been organising regional get-togethers. These have been great opportunities for our building surveyors to get to know each other better, swap expertise (and gripes!), discuss the current housing market and, perhaps most importantly, to enjoy some delicious food!
Our first get together this summer covered York, Leeds, Manchester and Sheffield. Our surveyors met at the fantastic Devour restaurant in Holmfirth, enjoying lunch in the sun next to the River Holme.
Next up was our Midlands team, who met up in Staffordshire at Aston Marina in Stone. This was a great spot, and the perfect place for our Birmingham, West Midlands and Nottingham colleagues to exchange surveying stories. They’ve certainly spotted a fair few remarkable building defects on recent surveys.
We also re-visited the Somerford Arms. We had such a good lunch here last year that we had to go back! It’s fantastic location, in between Swindon and Bristol, means it’s perfect for our South-West building surveyors. We’re already looking forward to another visit next summer.
We still have a couple more meet-ups in the pipeline, before all attention turns to our Christmas Party…watch this space!
